The conference titled "Transformation in the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, Digital Entrepreneurship and E-Commerce" organized by our Faculty within the scope of 95 events on the 95th anniversary of Gazi University was held online.

Vice Dean of our Faculty Dr. Lecturer The conference moderated by Member Sami Acar was attended by TUSIAD Board Member and TUSIAD Digital Transformation Round Table Chairman Serkan Sevim, Bakiyem and Shopalm Founding Partner Selin Nizam, Marketyo Founding Partner and CEO Özer Fırat, Ministry of Commerce E-Commerce Department - Commerce Expert. Ömer Faruk Ergün, faculty members and students attended.

Our Vice Dean Dr. Lecturer Member Sami Acar started his speech by saying, "I would like to start our online conference by welcoming you, our valued speakers and participants, to our 'Transformation in Entrepreneurship Ecosystem, Digital Entrepreneurship and E-Commerce' conference organized by Gazi University Faculty of Applied Sciences Management Information Systems Department." After introducing the speakers, he left the floor to the invited speakers.

TUSIAD Board Member and TUSIAD Digital Transformation Round Table Chairman Serkan Sevim started his speech by expressing his satisfaction in sharing his experiences with young people. Touching on the subject of "Transformation in the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem", Serkan Sevim pointed out that we are living in a very important period compared to the past periods and that communication has gained a completely different dimension. Serkan Sevim said that the most important capital in entrepreneurship is knowledge. Serkan Sevim pointed out certain stereotypes such as "This cannot happen before you go to university" and said that these perceptions should be changed and awareness should be gained that there is no age limit for learning. Serkan Sevim emphasized the necessity of having a dream and a desire in entrepreneurship. Stating that it is necessary to think big in entrepreneurship, Serkan Sevim said that trust and work have a very important role in this process.

Bakiyem and Shopalm Founding Partner Selin Nizam talked about the development process of Bakiyem within the scope of "Digital Entrepreneurship". Saying that entrepreneurship requires patience and dedication, Selin Nizam stated that every entrepreneur should have these characteristics. Selin Nizam said that the tendency towards e-commerce increased during the pandemic process and that they took this into consideration and established a new company targeting individual salespeople.

Marketyo Co-Founder and CEO Özer Fırat started his speech by saying that behind the success stories is an experience they learned from failure. Özer Fırat pointed out that motivation is an important factor when it comes to "Digital Entrepreneurship", and then talked about the importance of having an equivalent progress in academic knowledge and practical knowledge. Fırat touched upon the need to improve field knowledge at this point and said that scaling is more effective in entrepreneurship than ideas.

Ministry of Commerce E-Commerce Department - Commerce Expert Ömer Faruk Ergün stated that the Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce within the scope of "E-Commerce" has been in force since 2015 and that they continue to work on this law. Ömer Faruk Ergün talked about the harmonization work they carried out within the scope of "E-Commerce". Ömer Faruk Ergün said that the use of "E-Commerce" increased with the pandemic process and in which sectors these increases occurred more.
