Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz YİĞİT has been appointed as Vice Dean of our Faculty and has officially assumed her duties.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz YİĞİT completed her undergraduate education at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Ankara University. She received both her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Chemistry at the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Ankara University. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor by the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK) in the field of Chemistry under the broader academic field of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz YİĞİT conducts academic research in the areas of organic synthesis, electroorganic chemistry, functional monomer and conducting polymer synthesis, surface modification and characterization, electrochromic conducting polymers, hybrid electrode materials, energy storage systems for wearable technologies, and supercapacitor applications. In addition to her scientific research, she has substantial administrative experience in higher education management.

Between 2018 and 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz YİĞİT held various academic and administrative positions at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lokman Hekim University. In addition to serving as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Head of the Department of Basic Pharmaceutical Sciences, she also undertook a variety of responsibilities under the Rectorate at different times, including memberships on the Executive Boards of the Continuing Education Application and Research Center, the Distance Education Application and Research Center, and the Translational Medicine Application and Research Center, as well as serving as General Manager of the Technology Development Center (TEKMER). Through these roles, she gained extensive experience and contributed to various activities in university administration, educational processes, coordination of research activities, and entrepreneurship.

In her new role, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Deniz YİĞİT is expected to contribute to our Faculty’s education and training, research and development, and institutional development activities through her academic and administrative experience.
